Heads up!
You can only have up to 99 Pockets throughout the course of your account lifetime, so we recommend renaming a Pocket for a new purpose rather than deleting it.
I really need to delete or close a Pocket, what should I know before I do so?
- You can only have a maximum of 99 Pockets in the lifetime of your account.
- Deleting a Pocket does not remove all history of the Pocket from your account, but rather closes the sub-account created specifically for that Pocket.
- Bring your Pocket balance to $0 by transferring to another Pocket or to an external account by going to the Move Money section of your app.
- If your card is assigned to the Pocket you want to close, point it to a different Pocket.
- Check for pending transactions, bills, refunds, or payments for the Pocket. If there is anything outstanding, wait for them to post or settle before proceeding.
- Make sure you've removed anyone that you shared the Pocket with.
I am not the Pocket owner, can I delete or close it?
No, only the Pocket owner can delete or close the Pocket. You are able to remove yourself from the Pocket. To remove yourself from the shared Pocket:
- Open the Pocket you wish to leave
- Tap on the three vertical dots in the top right corner
- Scroll down to see your name
- Tap on the X to be removed from the Pocket
I’m the Pocket owner and I’ve completed the checklist, now what?
Once you're ready to delete (close) your Pocket:
- Open the Pocket you wish to delete
- Tap on the three vertical dots in the top right corner
- Tap the grey Delete button
I’ve deleted/closed a Pocket. I need transaction information I made with that Pocket. Are they lost forever?
No problem! You can see your Pocket transactions in your Statements.
