What is a FedWire IMAD/OMAD number?
An Input/Output Message Accountability Data (IMAD/OMAD) number is a unique number assigned to a wire transfer processed through the Federal Reserve Bank’s FedwireService. An IMAD/OMAD number can be used to investigate and track wire transfers.
This number is generated to track your wire transfer. The IMAD/OMAD information is made up of the following information:
YYYYMMDDXXXXXXXX012345
- Wire transfer date: YYYYMMDD or MMDD
- Source identifier: 8 Alpha or Alpha-Numeric characters
- Sequence number: 6 digits
If you contact ONE to track the status of a wire transfer, it is likely that a Customer Service agent will ask you for the IMAD/OMAD.
Where can I find my IMAD/OMAD number?
The originating bank will be able to provide the IMAD/OMAD number after the funds have been wired. You may need to speak with a bank manager or a dedicated wire department for assistance.
