When Pocket Protector is turned on, transactions that would take your created Pocket below $0 will be covered by funds in the Pocket owner’s Spend Pocket. These will appear as two transactions, one transaction bringing funds in from Spend to the Pocket being used, and one transaction completing the transaction.
As an example, if Dan has $40 in their Utilities Pocket but their utility bill is $57, Pocket Protector will transfer $17 into the Utilities Pocket and complete the transaction. In this case, Dan will see a $17 transfer and a $57 transaction.
Pocket Protector and Overdraft
Transactions completed with Pocket Protector will not dip into the available Overdraft in your Spend Pocket.
Pro-tip: Use Pocket Protector on your bills Pockets to take the guesswork out of recurring bills that have different amounts each month.
