How do I apply for a ONE account?
You may apply for a ONE account from our Get Started page or by downloading our app here and tapping Join ONE. It is possible that during the application process you may need to submit a picture of your current government-issued identification. Please have this ready as you begin your application.
How old do you have to be to open a ONE Account?
You must be 18 years old in order to apply for an account with ONE.
Do I have to be a U.S. resident to get a ONE Account?
Yes, ONE is only available to citizens and permanent residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia.
Why was I unable to open a ONE Account?
ONE uses third party data sources to validate the personal information, and in some cases a driver’s license or passport, that you provide as a part of your account application. If we cannot verify the information provided, the application is declined. This happens occasionally and is not necessarily a reflection on your eligibility.
Why do you need my personal information?
Federal law requires us to collect information to verify the identity of each customer.
When you apply, you will need to provide your full legal name, U.S. physical address, date of birth, Social Security number, phone number, email address, and possibly a copy of your government-issued photo identification or a utility bill.
This information helps us maintain the security of your data, fight fraud, and ensure we're legally allowed to provide you with financial services.
Will applying for a ONE account affect my credit score?
Applying for a ONE account does not impact your credit score.
Your Social Security Number (SSN) is used to verify your identity. Providing this information helps us prevent fraud. ONE runs a soft credit inquiry when you apply. It does not impact your credit or FICO scores.
